October 2009 Announcement
At our 50th Year Reunion, it was announced that we have a new class website, necessitated by the closing of free accounts at Geocities.com. The new site at http://molinehigh1959.webs.com is now the only site being updated with classmate news and reports of the October 2-4th reunion. The new address was also listed in the 2009 Reunion booklet.
The old site at Geo will "self-destruct" by October 26th. The new site gives us a "fresh start". A few of the older photos and pages will not be included, but some missing photos are being transferred to our Picasa Web Albums, sans captions.
This "blog" is also being phased out, primarily for lack of participation. Any news items for the class can be easily covered on the website instead. Send your current news to me at vwazz@hotmail.com for immediate posting.
Thanks for your continued support and compliments on our coverage of events on the class site.

How about some good news?
Doesn't anyone have some GOOD news or pictures to share? Seems like we could use some on this Blog!
If you want to share something without signing up for a Google account, send it in an email to vwazz@hotmail.com. I'll do the posting for you. Vicki

Bob Davison, Jr.
Leatha received news very recently that one of our classmates, Bob Davison, Jr. of Murphysboro, Illinois, died of leukemia in December 2006. Unfortunately, we weren't aware of his passing, so it was not posted on the memorial page of the '59 class website. For more details, contact vwazz@hotmail.com or call Leatha. We can send you a copy of his Dispatch obituary.

more sad news...Rodger Pfetzing
Nancy Polios got this letter in the mail today in response to the reunion reminder
"I received your letter (addressed to my brother Rodger) concerning the 50th class reunion. I'm sorry to report that Rodger passed away in May of '07 of pancreatic cancer. He didn't suffer much and we can be thankful for that. He lived with me in St. Louis for his last six weeks. I didn't put a notice in the Quad City papers.
Being in the Moline class of '63, I didn't know more than a few of his friends. I would appreciate it if you could pass along the news of his passing. He always enjoyed getting together with his classmates, and would certainly have attended if it were possible. Be well."
Jim Pfetzing
