Blogging instructions

Here are the instructions for new visitors to this blog:

1. To leave a comment, you need to first sign up for an account with an email address, password, and display name. That helps with security issues, I believe.

2. You must also verify the mis-shaped word they provide. This eliminates some automated sign-ups by web robots.

3. After you have signed in, try leaving a comment to one of the existing posts, by clicking the "comments" link at the bottom of it. For now, you don't have a way to a start a "new post". (See that discussed in the post titled "Problems".)

4. Clicking the "comments" line will give you a form that looks just like an email. Simply give it a title and type your message. Including your first name and (at least) a last name initial is important.

If desired, you can also send a photo or video with your post by using the icons on the line above the text box.

5. Click "publish" at the bottom and you're done.

Don't expect your blog message to appear immediately, however. Postings must be approved by the administrator before they go public.
