Greetings!

This new "blog" is just an experiment and a totally new experience for me and probably you, too!

I thought it might be a good way for '59 committee members to stay in touch with each other and/or with other classmates by invitation. It could be a forum where you can share messages, ideas, pictures, notes, or whatever.

This is similar to a message board, and is not meant to take the place of a website at all. Posting is supposed to be as easy as sending an email, so several might contribute postings without relying on one person to do it all.

Who can comment on the postings? You set it up to your preference.... It can be open to anyone, registered users, or only members of the blog. It's your choice.

I'm new to blogging and feeling my way along by reading the help sections provided. There was an introductory presentation at the last QC Computer Society meeting and there may be some follow-up lessons provided there for people that want to get started. I started this site as a trial and have been learning the ropes slowly on my own.

If they start some "Blogging 101" classes at the computer club, I will have plenty of questions. Maybe some of the rest of you might like to join the group. Blogging is an easy way to start your own personal website for family and friends.

What do you think? Will this one serve a purpose for the '59 alumni group? Vicki W
